Medical camp held for kin of cops
Kurnool: A free medical camp was organised to the family members of the police personnel by the Omega Hospital at Police Welfare Hospital here on Thursday. Participating as a chief guest, District Superintendent of Police (SP) Gopinath Jetty made an appeal to the family members of the cops to make use of the medical services being provided by the Omega Hospital.
The SP said, change in diet is must to lead a happy and healthy life. Recalling his services rendered at Guntur and Tirupati, Jetty said several health camps were organised for the family members of police personnel.
“From higher to lower cadre, everyone has to undergo health check-up once in a year. if any deficiencies are noted during clinical test then precautionary measures can be taken. Several police personnel are losing lives for not having awareness related to health,” he stated.
The SP advised policemen to avoid consumption of alcohol and smoking cigarettes. The doctors of Omega Hospital said women, who cross 40 years of age have to undergo mammography and Pap smear tests for mouth, breast and matrix cancers.
