Plea to participate in international photo contest in Guntur

Guntur: District Co-convener of Election Watch PC Sai Babu informed that International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is organising an international photo contest. The contest is open to all photographers.

He said that they would encourage photographs of marginalised groups, such as persons with disabilities, women, youth, indigenous people and minority population, among others. 

While democracy promotion is a subjective theme, photos that capture the essence of IFES’ core areas of work are highly favored, namely Electoral Management, Electoral Law and Participation and Inclusion.

He said the grand prize winner will receive $500 (USD) and added that there was no submission fee to enter IFES' Photography Contest.

Participating in IFES' Photography Contest gives exposure as the photographs may be used in IFES materials and photo exhibits. The Photography Contest closes on August 17, 2018.
