Use eco-friendly products: Siddha Raghava asks people

Vijayawada: Minister for Forests & Environment Siddha Raghava Rao, underlining the need for the protection of environment, appealed to people to conserve the environment by using eco-friendly products in day-to-day life. He said the Andhra Pradesh government is encouraging industries, and at the same time the industrialists should also think of checking pollution. 

He addressed a state-level workshop conducted by Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram here on Thursday. Dr B Madhusudhana Rao, Joint Chief Environmental Engineer, APPCB, Zonal Office, Vijayawada, welcomed the participants.

The Minister, on the occasion, said people should desist from using plastic, which he said causing more harm to the people. The workshop was inaugurated with the lighting of lamp by BSS Prasad, Chairman of APPCB, Vivek Yadav,  Member Secretary of APPCB, Prof S Rama Krishna Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Krishna University and others.  

BSS Prasad, while giving his message, said he was proud of Andhra Pradesh getting first rank in ease of doing business. He felt it is the responsibility of each individual to avoid using plastic. Vivek Yadav, IAS, Member Secretary, APPCB and others spoke on the occasion.
