Student commits suicide

Visakhapatnam: Marri Amrutha, who was taking NEET coaching, committed suicide here on Saturday. The girl, a native of Gummalakshmipuram in Vizianagaram district, joined the Gravity Coaching Centre a three days ago.
 
Hostel inmates found Amrutha’s body hanging from the ceiling fan in the hostel room. Amrutha had gone to her room on Friday night and locked the door inside. 

When she did not come out of the room in the morning on Saturday, other students peeped from the window and found the body of Amrutha hanging.

CI of Three Town T Emmanuel Raju said that they did not found any suicide note in the room. Police are investigating the reasons behind the suicide. 

Amurutha passed Intermediate in biology stream last year in Vizianagaram and her academic record is said to be good. The relatives of Amrutha alleged that ragging in the hostel or some other reasons might have led to her suicide and the management of Gravity Coaching Centre was responsible for the death of Amrutha, they alleged. 

Amrutha had spoken to her parents a few hours before her suicide and she used to stay alone and reportedly she was not comfortable after joining the coaching centre. Police registered a case under Section 174 of CrPC and shifted the body to KGH for postmortem.
