50 tribal youth get job letters
Visakhapatnam: As part of Cheyutha, a programme to help the poor tribal youth by providing employment and other schemes initiated by District Police, Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma on Monday distributed appointment orders to 50 tribal youth as security guards.
The department conducted a job mela to select the tribal youth as security guards at various locations in the city. Over 360 tribal youth were registered their names in the job mela and 215 were selected.
The department in association with Deendayal Upadhyaya Grameena Kausal Yojana and GMR’s Raksha Securities given two months special training to youth.
During the two months training, the organisers provided uniform, free lodging and boarding to beneficiaries. After training the candidates were being posted as security guards at various companies and airports with a salary between Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 with PF, ESI and insurance facilities.Speaking on the occasion, SP Rahul Dev Sharma said the youth should come forward to utilise the opportunities.
