Camp on e-filing of TDS returns

Visakhapatnam: To sensitise the TDS deductors about their role and responsibilities and to make them get acquainted with procedures in e-filing of TDS returns, an awareness programme on TDS/TCS has been organised by the TDS Range, Visakhapatnam in the city on Monday to all the deductors in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and East Godavari. 

The officials of CPC-TDS Ghaziabad N S Deshkar, Y V S Jagannadha Rao, N V Appa Rao and G Ravi Shankar were present and explained the procedures in filing the TDS/TCS.

The Income Tax department has been computerising its different functionalities by using the latest technology and making it user-friendly to taxpayers by providing services at a quicker phase, the officials explained. 

Many deductors from various Central and government departments, corporate offices, nationalised banks and cooperative banks, principals from different colleges and schools were present in the awareness programme.
