NRT donates RO plant to ZP High School

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu (APNRT) USA Foundation donated a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water plant to Zilla Parishad High School, Mudunuru village of Vuyyuru madal on Sunday.

APNRT had adopted the school to help the growth and welfare of the school students.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, APNRT president and advisor to government of AP Dr Vemuri Ravi Kumar said that NRTs were currently contributing to upgrade school infrastructure, set up RO plant, to create smart village programme in different forms. 

He said that the objective was to ensure maximum number of villages and schools in Andhra Pradesh were adopted for all-round development in tune with the smart village concept.

He said that to make this goal a reality, they would link the myriad of NRI community resources and collaborate to unfold the range of revitalisation efforts. This model was being introduced as a whole approach in ‘Adopt A School’ Initiative.

MLA Bode Prasad, MLC YVB Rajendra Prasad, ZP chairperson G Anuradha and others were present.
