1 held, worth property Rs 38 lakh recovered in Guntur
Guntur: Urban police arrested an accused in a cheating case who collected lakhs of rupees by pretending that he owned a diamond studded knife and rice pulling device worth crores of rupees in the market. He was luring his victims to purchase the knife and device.
The police recovered Rs 20 lakh in cash and two cars worth Rs 18 lakh from his possession. According to Guntur Urban SP Ch Vijaya Rao, the accused Immandi Bhargav Krishna alias Bhargav hails from Atmakuru village under Unguturu mandal of Krishna district said that he had possessed a diamond studded knife and rice pulling device valued several crores to sell and collected Rs 70 lakh from Karnati Prasad, resident of Chirala town of Prakasam district.
The accused also collected Rs 11 lakh from Veera Chary, Rs 9 lakh from Muvva Rama Naidu and Rs 70 lakh from Sudha. Similarly, he collected from Rami Reddy Rs 3 lakh and Rs 2 lakh from Krishna. Based on the complaint given by Karnati Prasad, the police registered the case.
While the accused Immandi Bhargav Krishna was moving at Jinna Tower Centre in Guntur city on Sunday, Circle Inspector Murali Krishna arrested him and recovered Rs 20 lakh in cash and two cars valued at Rs 18 lakh from his possession.
The accused Bhargav purchased immovable properties with the remaining properties. The police seized documents relating to immovable properties and said that they would submit documents in the court to seize the property.
