Fishermen warned not to venture into sea
Amaravati: Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea along the coastal Andhra Pradesh for a couple of days. The sea will be rough as high tides and high speed winds are predicted.
The AP State Disaster Management Authority cautions that according to Wave Forecast by the INCOIS, high waves in the range of 3.5 to 3.8 metres are expected from 5.30 p.m on Monday (July 16) to 11.30 p.m on Wednesday (July 18), along the coast of AP.
Particularly the fishermen in the areas along the coast including Dugarajapatnam in Nellore District to Baruva in Srikakulam district, must follow the directions. Wave current speeds may vary between 126-201 centimetre per second.
The wind forecast under the strong monsoon conditions states that strong surface winds from westerly direction are expected at 55-60 kmph along the coastal AP.
