Akiveedu: MLA VV Sivarama Raju has said the state government will provide paddy seeds on 70 percent subsidy to farmers.

He participated in Grama Darsini- Grama Vikasam programme at Peda Amiram village of Kalla mandal on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he expressed concern over loss caused to farmers due to recent heavy rains.

The seedbeds were damaged because of the rain and farmers were worried about the farming activity.

Claiming that the TDP government was working with sole motto of developing villages, the MLA assured the farmers of all necessary help to make their activity profitable.

He called upon the farmers to drain water stagnated in fields and get ready for planting seedbeds again.

The MLA visited all residences in the village and enquired about their problems.

The villagers complained to him about irregular power supply, faulty drainage and drinking water problem.

Some villagers informed him that they were vexed with the official apathy in sanctioning housing loans.

Responding to their problems, the MLA announced that a 25-member committee has been constituted at constituency-level to look after the problems faced by the people under the grama vikasam programme.

Akiveedu AMC chairman M Prasad and other TDP leaders were present.
