Utilise tech to enhance people’s satisfaction: Chandrababu Naidu
Amaravati: Aiming to provide visible governance and invisible government by taking the advantage of latest technology, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu launched the website ‘e-Pragati Core’ at his residence at Undavalli in Guntur district on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the benefits of government welfare schemes should reach all the eligible persons and happiness of citizens should be increased.
Congratulating the e-Pragati and Information Technology officials for achieving success in bringing all departments under one umbrella, e-Pragati portal, the Chief Minister said by transforming into digital technology the government should make people happy.
Chandrababu Naidu said e-Pragati would act as a platform to connect all departments and stand alone to resolve the issues. He said there should be coordination between citizens and government to solve several issues.
The Chief Minister said Praja Sadhikara Survey was conducted and implementation of all welfare schemes was streamlined. Stating that Andhra Pradesh stands in first position in Information Technology, the Chief Minister advised the officials to move at a jet speed to reach the speed of internet of things. IT has been helping in a big way to improve performance of the government, he said.
The Chief Minister said all the services were made online and all the departments were connected to CM’s dash board. The measure helped to improve the implementation of welfare programmes and to bring a transparency in administration.
Stating that AP stands in number one position in Ease of Doing Business, the Chief Minister said zero budget farming was introduced in 5 lakh acres this year. He said the State also stands ahead in zero budget and natural farming.
Earlier, addressing the meeting, Minister for IT Nara Lokesh explained on paperless government and online facilities available in AP. He said certificate-less admissions were introduced in the State and issuing of driving licences was made online. He said the democratisation of data helps to know the ground level problems of people.
He said the taxation system at grass-root level also was digitalised. He said AP portal has single access for all 34 departments integration to cover all services. e-Pragati CEO N Balasubrahmanyam explained on the e-Pragati journey right from its beginning. IT advisor to Govt J Satyanarayana explained on IT revolution in AP. IT Secretary K Vijayanand spoke on e-Pragati journey so far and road ahead.
