District administration alerts tahsildars, RDOs

Visakhapatnam: The district administration has alerted the tahsildars, RDO and officials of line departments, as per the information received from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the district will witness heavy rains at isolated places in north coastal Andhra district next two days i.e; on Saturday and Sunday.

The officials issued a warning for fishermen here on Friday under the strong monsoon conditions and low-pressure area over north west Bay of Bengal, strong surface winds from westerly direction speed reaching 45 to 50 kmph are likely along and off coastal Andhra. State of the sea would be rough. Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea.

Therefore, tahsildars, RDOs and district officers of line departments in the district are informed to stay at their respective headquarters to monitor the situation and take precautionary measures.
