Health camp for children held by Andhra Hospitals at Burripalem village

Vijayawada: A mega health camp was organised by Andhra Hospitals in association with cine hero Mahesh Babu Gattamaneni at the Burripalem village which was adopted by the star, according to Dr PV Rama Rao, chief of children’s services at Andhra Hospital on Friday.

Dr Rama Rao said that the mega health camp was organised on the occasion of birthday of Mahesh Babu’s daughter Sitara. He said that a team of doctors --Syed Mudassir, Suresh, Veena along with paramedical staff participated in the health camp.

About 210 children from primary, secondary schools, Anganvadi centres in Burripalem came to the camp, said the doctor.

He said that the Andhra Hospitals team also organised awareness programme on seasonal diseases like viral fever, dengue fever, gastroenteritis, malaria and typhoid on the occasion.

Dr Rama Rao advised the parents, children and teachers to take preventive measures.

He informed that they had addressed all medical problems of all school children and gave medicines free of cost. 

Dr Rama Rao said that Mahesh Babu in association with Andhra Hospitals wants to develop the village as a ‘Model Health Village’ in Andhra Pradesh and said that this was the 17th medical camp at Burripalem village.
