Pharma expo inaugurated

Vijayawada: Central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said that pharmaceutical companies are no more restricted to metropolitan cities since they are established everywhere. He was the chief guest at a two-day Pharma B2B expo organised here on Saturday.

Addressing a gathering, the MLA said that pharma companies are on the forefront in creating awareness on the latest innovations in the field of medicine among the people. The research and development wing of pharma companies are striving to develop new medicines for diseases. He complimented the organisers for organising the expo here.

Andhra Pradesh Federation of Drug Traders Association general secretary KP Ranga Rao said that there were many pharma companies across the country and this expo was organised to create awareness among the people on diseases and drugs. With this expo people will know which drug should be used and its dosage, he added. He said most of the drugs are cost effective and very few are expensive, said Ranga Rao. Krishna District Drug Trade Association president CC Keshave Rao, district association president P Rosa Rao, Best bio-tech head T Suresh Babu and company heads from across the state attended the expo.
