Rajappa castigates ‘immature’ Pawan
Rajamahendravaram: Terming Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan ‘innocent and immature’ politician, Deputy Chief Minister and home minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa said that the JSP chief should know more about politics.
Speaking to reporters after inaugurating IOC petrol bunk here on Sunday, Rajappa said people were not taking Pawan Kalyan seriously as he was no consistent in his statements. He pointed out that the actor-turned-politician never criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi who cheated Andhra Pradesh for four years.
“Instead, he is trying to tarnish the image of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who is striving for the development of the state with false statements. The Chief Minister is courageously taking on the Central government for the interest of the state,” he said.
The home minister said Pawan Kalyan cannot defeat Chandrababu Naidu as people of the state had confidence in him and supporting his every effort to take the state on the path of development.
Accusing the BJP, YSRCP and JSP of colluding to create hurdles in the path of development of the state, Rajappa warned them that people who had been watching their conspiracies would teach them a fitting lesson in appropriate time for betraying the interests of AP.
He wondered how YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy could demand the resignation of TDP MPs who had been fighting for Special Category Status (SCS) in Parliament.
“Who will fight for the state’s interests if they resign? TDP MPs draw the attention of entire nation to the injustice done by the Centre to the state,” he said.
He said TDP MPs succeeded in expressing the anguish of AP people in Parliament as they did not quit the House whereas YSRCP MPs lost the opportunity to fight against Central government by resigning from their posts.
Rajappa alleged that YSRCP had hidden agenda to benefit BJP and Jaganmohan Reddy and Pawan Kalyan were acting as per the script prepared by BJP. He also said that there was no response to Jaganmohan Reddy's Praja Sankalpa Yatra which was currently going in East Godavari district.
