Rajamahendravaram: Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai on Saturday said she was not aware of a letter given by corporators to Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary expressing their displeasure. Participating in a Meet-The-Press programme held at Press Club here on Saturday, she said the corporators asked me to conduct standing committee meeting relating to some works. But the respective files are with the commissioner, she said.

She said directions have been issued to council secretary to get the files from commissioner to convene standing committee meeting. “But, why the corporators expressed unhappiness over me is a million dollar question,” she added. Since four years many development works were executed in the city and the corporation was giving top priority for sanitation, supply of drinking water and health, she told.

Godavari Maha Pushkarams-2015 were conducted successfully and the corporation provided all facilities to lakhs of devotees in this regard, the mayor said. A palatial building was constructed at a cost of Rs 20 crore to cater the needs of corporation, she added. The corporation would address problems of people within no time after receiving complaints, she added.
