TDP united all parties to question Modi: Somireddy
Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said all parties have had a good opportunity to disparage Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the House for the first time due to decision of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu initiating no-trust motion. Speaking to media at party office here on Saturday, he said the Prime Minister categorically expressed his unwillingness to accord SCS to Andhra Pradesh and asked how the ruling BJP would support the state. “BJP has no concern over difficulties of Andhra Pradesh.
The Prime Minister insulted all Telugu people in the House exchanging jokes with Congress chief Rahul Gandhi. The Congress chief also hugged the PM in the presence of members indicating their lack of seriousness on the issues of AP. Modi also took huge time for criticising Rahul Gandhi which seems to be a melodrama. You just remember what he said in Tirupati meet?,” said Somireddy.
He also said the Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been conducting padayatra in the state failing to attend the House for discussions even as a people’s representative conniving with the ruling party at the Centre. Somireddy also said there were no whereabouts of Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan who assured support from all parties for the SCS in the Centre.
“The BJP-led government at the Centre has to clear their stance that why they had cheated Andhra people assuring tall promises during elections. They have to explain the reasons to the nation. TDP will not go back once declared war against Modi and his government. Issues of AP would certainly be criteria for losing confidence of people in 2019 elections for the BJP,” said the minister.
