NSS holds camp for awareness on diseases in Tanuku

Tanuku: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of SKSD Women’s College (autonomous) here organised a special awareness camp on sanitation and seasonal diseases, at Goteru village on Sunday. This is the sixth day of the NSS special camp.   

A socioeconomic survey was organised by NSS volunteers at K Illindraparru villagein which enquired about the problems faced by the villagers.  They briefed the villagers on the benefits of being literate. 

The junior college vice-principal and NSS programme officer D Kumara Swamy was present as resource person during the afternoon session. He urged the students to participate in service activities apart from education. 

Sports contests and rangoli competition were held for the NSS volunteers who were a part of the awareness camp. NSS programme officers Aruna Kumari, Naganna and students took part in the service activities.
