32 booked for helmetless driving in Guntur city

Guntur: Traffic police conducted a massive drive in Guntur city to book cases against two-wheeler riders without helmets on Monday.

As a part of this programme, the Guntur West traffic police conducted a drive at Collectorate. The traffic police offered roses to respect those who wore helmet and driving the two-wheelers. They booked cases for not wearing helmets.

Following the Supreme Court orders, the police department is enforcing compulsory helmet rule. To book cases against the helmetless two-wheeler riders, they conducted the special drive. 

Guntur west circle inspector N Srikanth Babu said, “We have booked 32 cases against two-wheeler riders for not wearing helmet. Later, we have conducted awareness meeting to the helmetless riders.”
