Andhra University will train 600 vehicle drivers on tourism sector

Visakhapatnam: With tourists thronging Visakhapatnam, the city of destiny, the Andhra University will conduct a special training classes to create awareness among tourist vehicle drivers in the district, said Andhra University Vice Chancellor G Nageswara Rao at Senate Hall here on Monday.

Addressing media, the VC said that 600 tourist vehicle drivers would be trained in the special training classes to be conducted from July 24 in the first phase.

The training session includes how to deal with tourists, what are the precautions to be taken up while driving and some first aid techniques will be taught by the experts.

Officials from both police and health departments would play vital role in the training session by providing their services in creating traffic awareness and violations. The training helps the drivers how to respond during emergency situations, the VC added.
