BJP betrayed AP in Parliament: Communists
Ongole: The Communist parties and other public organisations staged a protest against the betrayal of the Bharateeya Janata Party in the Parliament during no-confidence motion and observed Monday as the Day of Betrayal.
The CPI district secretary, ML Narayana, CPM district committee member GV Kondareddy, town secretary G Ramesh, CPI and CPM leaders Sardar, Srirama Srinivasa Rao, Marella Subbarao, Ch Ramadevi and others participated in the protest.
ML Narayana and Kondareddy said that the BJP had no concern over the sentiments of the public and was not trying to keep its own promises. They wanted the public teach the BJP and its allies a lesson for betraying the people of Andhra Pradesh. They demanded that the BJP rethink over the Special Category Status as it was required for the development of the state and the Prakasam district also.
They also demanded that the Central government implement the AP reorganization bill in true spirit. They announced that the Communist parties will continue agitation until the government changes its mind and deliver the SCS to the state.
