9 dengue cases registered in Guntur
Guntur: Dengue cases are on the rise in Guntur district. According to official sources, so far nine dengue positive cases were registered in July. The government selected Micro Biology Centre in Guntur Medical College as a Nodal Centre. Blood samples are being sent to the centre. Similarly, suspected dengue cases also on the rise. Private doctors are saying that they are getting more dengue cases every day.
According to an official release by the government, 80 dengue cases were registered in the state. While 37 blood samples referred to the Nodal Centre at Guntur Medical College, out of which nine cases declared positive. Doctors in the private hospitals are providing dengue treatment for suspected dengue cases. Private hospitals are also referring suspected blood samples to the GMC for conducting tests.
Medical and health department is conducting campaign through mobile vehicles on dengue fevers, it is not giving expected results in the field level.
Meanwhile, the GMC launched Domalapai Danda Yatra programme to check spread of viral fevers and conducting anti-larva operations in Guntur city and conducting awareness programme to keep surrounding clean.
