Amaravati: Development should take place irrespective of political interests, but the BJP government has been discriminating on the lines of politics, observed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during a teleconference with the TDP MPs on Tuesday.

He said that the TDP MPs should fight against the Central government in the Parliament till the justice is done to the State. He further stated that the BJP has been behaving arrogantly since the TDP does not have majority in the Parliament. That was not fair method and they should treat all the states equally and fulfil the promises given by the successive prime ministers, he said.

Naidu further said that the days of requesting were gone and now the TDP will only demand and fight against the Central government. The TDP has been protesting and organising Dharma PorataSabhas to make the BJP to realise the facts.

``The BJP can’t change the policies according to suite its political interests. It has been changing its stand frequently. When they were in opposition, they said that they would give Special Category Status to AP after they come to power. But now they are denying it. Such double stands would not be entertained in the public life,’’ the Chief Minister pointed out.

He said that both BJP and YSRCP were damaging the interests of the State. On the one hand the BJP was not fulfilling the promises given by the Prime Ministers, not implementing the AP Reorganisation Act, on the other hand the YSRCP was resorting to collusive politics in the name of Bandhs in the State, he stated.

For the last four years, there was no benefit to the State with the YSRCP. Instead of striving for development of the state, they are creating hurdles at every stage.Public will not believe the words of the YSRCP leaders even they just walk on the streets by submitting resignations to the Lok Sabha memberships, he added.

He said that the state needs to get financial assistance from the Central government and urged YSRCP not to disturb that ecosystem. Chandrababu said that there was a need to fight against the Central government to fulfil our demands and at the same time, we have to work for development of the state and welfare of public.

In this teleconference, MPs including CM Ramesh, YS Chowdary, Thota Narasimham, Murali Mohan, Siva Prasad and others participated. During the conference, he directed the strategy to be implemented in the Rajya Sabha during the debate on Short Notice given to the House by the TDP on the implementation of promises made in AP Reorganisation Act.
