King George Hospital senior assistant lands in ACB net

Visakhapatnam: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested K Eswara Rao, senior assistant (Purchase) of King George Hospital (KGH) for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, on Tuesday.

The officials recovered illegal assets, including one house site measuring 375 square yards in Narsipatnam, two acres of farm land at  three places at  Nakkapalle in Visakhapatnam district and East Godavari.

The accused is also the President of the Vizag District AP NGO’s Association.The registered immovable assets seized and movable properties in the form of automobiles, gold, silver, fixed deposits and cash is valued at Rs. 1.4 crore, according  to ACB officials.

The market value could exceed Rs 14 crore, the official sources said. Raids were simultaneously conducted in 10 places in Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts.
