All eligible Brahmins will get benefits: Vemuri Ananda Surya
Kakinada: AP Brahmin Corporation chairman Vemuri Ananda Surya has said that measures have been initiated to extend financial assistance to all eligible Brahmin families in the state.
Addressing a meet of Brahmin leaders at Pydah Srinivasa Kalyana Mandapam hereon Wednesday, the corporation chairman said that this assistance would be extended group wise through Credit Cooperative Societies formed in active association with AP Brahmin Corporation.
The Corporation chairman said that each of the groups would be extended Rs 90,000 soon. A total 1.5 lakh people indirectly and 97,000 directly received assistance in AP under the programme so far, Ananda Surya said.
The chairman met several Brahmin organisations and referred the mode of working of corporation and cooperative societies in the district. He also enquired about release of loans and the receipt of payments to the extended loans.
Ananda Surya said that earlier the group limit was Rs 25,000 for three member group and now extended to 45,000. In near future the same will be extended to Rs 90,0000, he added.
