Meet on climate change held at Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala

Vijayawada: A seminar on Impact of Climate Change on India’ was organised by the Physics department of Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala on the college premises here on Wednesday.

Prof D Bhanu Kumar of Meteorology and Oceanology department of Andhra University was the chief guest.

Bhanu Kumar explained the reasons for highest rainfall in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.

He suggested the 3R formula, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and increase greenery by plantation using renewable energy sources and reducing vehicle pollution.

The college director, T Vijayalakshmi, principal M Balini, Physics HoD G Meenakshi, K Srilakshmi, M Geetha Nadhuri and others were present.
