3 cops including SI thrashed for obstructing obscene dance

Nellore: A home guard severely injured and two other police personnel including a Sub-Inspector received minor injuries when some youth assaulted them at Kothasatram sea coast area in the wee hours of Thursday. This incident had occurred when the police personnel tried to stop obscene dance show organised by them. 

According to police, some villagers organised obscene dance at the sea coast in the midnight at Kothasatram area on Wednesday. Acting on a tip off, Kavali Sub-Inspector Pulla Rao along with two constables and two home guards rushed to the spot to stop the obscene activity. Some youth argued with the police and beaten them, Later, they fled from the scene. 

In the incident, a home guard received severe injuries and two other constables sustained minor injuries. The police personnel were shifted to area hospital in Kavali for treatment. Special Branch cops said that they had filed a case against the youth, who attacked the police and were investigating.
