AP CM inaugurates underground drainage at Pasivedala
Kovvuru: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated underground drainage system set up with Rs 2.5 crore at Pasivedala village on Thursday.
He participated in Grama Darsini programme and organised Padayatra for a distance of 4 km. He mingled with villagers and enquired them about the style of functioning of the government and their welfare.
He took part in house warming function at the residence of housing scheme beneficiary V Surya Saraswati. He inspected construction of house belonging to another beneficiary P Perayya. He sanctioned Rs 50,000 to lay slab for house of a woman, P Gangamma.
Later, taking part in ICDS-sponsored Samoohika Seemanthalu programme, the CM called upon women to ensure their delivery at government hospital instead of private or corporate hospital.
The government was providing nutritious food to pregnant women and were also taking care of the child after delivery. The government was doing everything to prevent women-child mortality rate at the time of delivery.
Anganwadis have been playing a key role for healthy growth of the child and Aksharabhyasam. Besides food for infants, the government was also implementing a calendar for administering vaccines to save their lives.
He visited the place of ward member P Sesharao who was ill and enquired about his health.
