TUDA chief gets extension

Update: 2018-07-27 05:30 IST

Tirupati: Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) Chairman G Narasimha Yadav got one more year extension to continue as chairman of the urban development authority. Government issued orders last evening to this effect to continue Yadav whose one-year tenure as TUDA Chairman ended on Wednesday.

Yadav has celebrated his extension with local MLA M Suguna and party functionaries and activists here on Thursday. Later, speaking to the media, the TUDA chief said that his extension was in recognition of his sincere services to the party and thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

The TUDA chief said that he would strive for the development of infrastructure facilities like road, drinking water facility in the villages under the TUDA and for completing housing programme taken up by TUDA for construction of 35,000 houses.

It may be noted here Narasimha belongs to Yadav community, one of the largest group in the district, and his appointment was considered as Naidu’s effort to keep the backward classes in the party fold to help the part win in the crucial 2019 election which turned murky with the entry of Jana Sena Party against the ruling party couple with the severing of the TDP alliance with BJP.
