NCC headquarters at Amaravati soon
Tirupati: NN Reddy, Deputy Director General (DDG) of NCC for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, said that NCC headquarters would come up at Amaravati soon. Speaking to the media here on Thursday, the DDG said the NCC directorate would be established which would be beneficial to Andhra Pradesh particularly to students.
He further said NCC units would be strengthened in the next two years by constructing own buildings, improving infrastructure facilities and setting up training camps. A new NCC unit would be set up in Anantapur shortly, he declared. The DDG stated the NCC would set up full-fledged Air Squadron in temple city if the state government provides separate hanger at Tirupati airport.
“Our aim is students should inculcate best leadership qualities which would be useful for the country,” he added. Earlier, he inspected the NCC units in Chittoor and Kadapa as part of the annual administrative inspection. On the occasion, Group Commander Col KV Vithal has introduced all the officers of the NCC units to the DDG.
