DGP assures security for Jana Sena programmes

Vijayawada: Office of the Director General of Police on Saturday issued instructions to all field-level units in the department in the state to provide adequate security to the programmes either indoor or outdoor organised by the Jana Sena Party in the state. 

The DGP office in a statement informed that the police would provide adequate security and asked the Jana Sena party to inform the local police in advance about the event so that the security arrangements can be planned accordingly. It further said sudden programmes and sudden changes in programmes can cause dislocation of regular work of police. The DGP office press release on Saturday said Janasena leader Thota Chandrasekhar has personally met the DGP R P Thakur and thanked for providing adequate security to the party meeting arranged in Bhimavaram. The press release further said there is no truth in the allegations that adequate security is not provided for the meetings and programmesof JanaSena party.
