Vijayawada: MP Kesineni Srinivas said that the Centre once again cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh by submitting an affidavit in Supreme Court stating that establishing an exclusive railway zone in the State was not possible.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, he recalled that the Centre gave reply in the Parliament during the No-confidence motion stating that the railway zone proposal was under consideration.

He wondered as to how the Centre changed its stand a week days later. The MP criticised the Centre for totally misleading the people. He alleged that the NDA government was violating the democratic norms. He asked the BJP leaders to clarify if they had informed the people of the State that the railway zone was under consideration or not.

He said that the MPs of Telugu Desam would question the Centre on its affidavit which it had submitted to the Supreme Court ruling out the possibility of setting up a railway zone in AP with Vizag as headquarters.

He wondered how the Centre could change its stand on an issue within a week and by misleading the Parliament. He said that they would not leave the Centre until it provided justice to the State.

Kesineni questioned Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on whether he had awareness on agriculture and farmers. He suggested to Pawan to fight against Prime Minister Narendra Modi instead of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The TDP MP said the Centre was causing injustice to AP and not to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
