Divis Labs distributes gas stoves under Corporate Social Responsibility

Visakhapatnam: As  part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, the Divis Laboratories Limited (DLL) distributed LPG gas stoves to all the residents of Mulakuddu village of Bheemili village. 

Many villagers are not having LPG gas connections in the village and they are still depending on the conventional methods and using wood for cooking. 

Observing the need for LPG gas stoves in the vicinity of DLL, the management directed its CSR wing to identify the needy to supply the LPG connections. At a function organised at Mulakuddu village, Mandal Praja Parishad president Y Krishnaveni distributed the gas stoves to beneficiaries. 

Speaking on the occasion, she appreciated the DLL gesture to provide LPG gas stoves to all the needy locals. Officer of CSR wing, DLL E Naga Raju said the management had decided to present the LPG connections to all the needy. 

The company is already providing drinking water, toilets, roads and sanitation work in the seven villages spread in the vicinity of the company. Local Panchayat leaders including K Gopinath Reddy, VRO Nurjahan and Divis officials D Suresh Kumar, Sekhar Babu and Mohan Rao were present.
