Galla Aruna to stay away from poll fray

Chittoor: Former Minister and TDP politburo member Galla Aruna Kumari has declared that she would not contest in any elections in future. Aruna reiterated she would strive for strengthening the TDP in the district.

Addressing the party cadre, Galla exuded confidence of the TDP winning all the Assembly constituencies in the district in 2019 elections. “I have been in the politics for the last three decades and rendered valuable services for all sections of the society in different capacities.

Now, I have decided to strengthen the party in the district,” she stated. On being nominated as member to the party politburo, leaders of the BC unions have felicitated her. Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy has participated as chief guest for the meeting. She appreciated Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for developing the state on all fronts despite revenue deficit. 

Speaking on the occasion, Amaranatha Reddy recalled the great contribution of the Galla Aruna Kumari’s family for the state development. She been successful both in politics and industrial front, he added. The Minister exuded confidence that the services of Aruna Kumari as TDP politburo member would strengthen the party. 

Later, the APSRTC Chairman Varla Ramaiah has enlisted the achievements of the TD government. ZP Chairperson Girvani, Chittoor MLA Satyaprabha,  MLC B N Rajasimhulu, Mayor K Hemalatha, TDP district president P Nani, BC leaders Shanmugam and others were present.
