Need to protect nature stressed

Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Murru Mutyala Naidu has underlined the need to protect the nature to lead a happy and problem free life.

Participating in a two-day workshop conducted on 'Bio-diversity Conservation for a sustainable plant' in the campus here on Monday, he said human beings depended on nature and it is their duty to conserve the nature.

Only human beings are using the nature in a maximum level and deriving more benefits from it and destroying the nature in the same level. He underlined the need to bring awareness on the importance of nature.

He advised the students to know about nature which helps them a lot in their future. Without nature, no one can survive in the universe and asked the students to bring awareness among the people about the importance of nature.

Workshop convenor and senior scientist Dr R Raghavendra Rao said that the future scientists should get awareness scientifically on nature. Another scientist Dr R Sivanna said the existing circumstances are posing problems to the survival of other beings in the universe and the environment pollution is also another problem.

Science College Principal Dr T Hymavathi, Professors S Teki and AM Reddy, LM Naidu, K Samuel, Kumar, M Pragna, Ramaneswari, Kalyani and others were present.
