Chandrababu Naidu assures payment to AgriGold victims

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asked the victims of AgriGold scam to fight united for justice. Distributing the cheques to victims of AgriGold scam at Grievance Cell at Undavalli here on Tuesday, he said that the government and the Association of AgriGold victims should fight jointly for justice, otherwise the victims might lose.

He assured the victims that the government has taken issue seriously. Every paisa of AgriGold scam would be collected and paid to victims. The government would provide legal aid for the benefit of victims, if they want to fight legally, the Chief Minister said.

He criticised YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy for making irresponsible allegations. He said the Opposition leader was creating rumors for getting political mileage by using the innocence of people. The AgriGold has Rs 30,000 crore assets, he said and added that the victims should be paid their entire money.

The victims should not commit suicide or take any extreme step. The government is serious to do justice for them, the Chief Minister said and assured them he would stand by them until they get justice.

On this occasion, he distributed cheques to 43 family members of victims who committed suicide. He expressed grief over the death of the victims. AgriGold Victims Association president Muppalla Nageswara Rao and other leaders were present.
