APPCB to conduct workshop on plastic

Visakhapatnam: As part of the Environmental Day celebrations, Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board is conducting a workshop on ‘Beat the plastic pollution’ at VUDA Children Theatre here on August 2. The workshop will focus on the overview of waste management regulations in the country, current status of regulations and various alternative solutions to avoid plastic pollution.

Minister for Environment, Forest, Science and Technology Sidda Raghava Rao, BSS Prasad, Chairman, APPCB, and Vivek Yadav, Member Secretary, APPCB, will participate in the workshop. Eminent experts on ‘Research studies on plastic’ from NEERI, CPCB and STEPS-Mumbai, across the country will share their experiences and latest technologies in the day-long workshop.

Students, NGOs, environmentalists, representatives and employees of major healthcare establishments and industries employees of Forest and AP Pollution Control Board would present.
