Saplings planted

Tirupati: Tirupati Chamber of Commerce (TCC) with the cooperation of Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) has conducted ‘Haritha Haram’ programme at Padmavathi Puram near Tiruchanur road on Tuesday. Plantation programme was taken up on a massive scale by the TCC members, TUDA and Municipal Corporation officials. 

TUDA Chairman G Narasimha Yadav, Corporation Commissioner V Vijaya Rama Raju, TUDA Secretary Madhavi Latha and others participated and planted saplings. Speaking on the occasion TCC President A Manjunath said that their organisation has taken up plantation programme as a social responsibility to protect environment.

TUDA chief has assured of all cooperation to TCC in making Tirupati a beautiful city with green cover. He gave a call to the people to completely avoid using plastic and bring awareness to their children the hazards of using plastic. Padmavathipuram sarpanch V Ganapathi Naidu, TCC secretary P Madhusudan, Treasurer KV Chowdary, Viswam Colleges correspondent Viswanatha Reddy and others have participated in the drive.
