AP Govt will unveil policy to promote film industry: CM

Amaravati: Actor Rana Daggubati will play the role of N Chandrababu Naidu in NTR's biopic which is being directed by celebrated director Krish. Hindupur TDP MLA and actor N Balakrishna is playing the lead role of senior NTR in the movie. For quite sometime now, Rana has been practising Chandrababu Naidu's mannerism.

Rana, Balakrishna and Krish visited Nimmakuru in Krishna district, birth place of legendary actor and TDP founder NTR and enquired with the residents about the thespian's early days. Earlier, the three film personalities called on Chandrababu Naidu in Amavarati and discussed the biopic with him.

On this occasion, Naidu said that he would encourage film industry and film tourism in Andhra Pradesh. He said that suitable environment is available for film industry in the State.They discussed the film industry establishment and development in the State.

Several natural resources and tourism attractions are available in Andhra Pradesh, the Chief Minister said and added that these facilities would be useful to the film industry. Krish and Rana said that there were many attractions in Amaravati and those would be useful for film making. They said that the decisions of the government to promote the industry would ensure development of the film industry in the State.

Employment opportunities could also be generated due to the establishment of film industry, they said. Besides, the Chief Minister said that the government took steps to establish film and TV institute with high quality facilities. Chandrababu Naidu also said that the government would introduce a policy to encourage the film industry.
