Arrangements reviewed for Chandrababu Naidu visit to Tirupati

Tirupati: The district officials reviewed the ongoing arrangements for the ‘Gnana Bhumi’ programme in which Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would participate and interact with students on Saturday. The ‘Gnana Bhumi’ programme would be organised at Sri Venkateswara University’s Tarakarama Stadium here.

As many as 10,000 students from 8 state universities would participate in the programme. ‘Gnana Bhumi’ is being conducted to motivate students for achieving their goals through self-confidence. Select students would be given an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the Chief Minister.

On Thursday, District Collector PS Pradyumna, Tirupati Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty, Municipal Corporation Commissioner V Vijaya Rama Raju, Joint Collector-II V Chandramouli and other officials inspected the main venue in the Tarakarama Stadium.

The Collector made certain changes in the venue and directed the officials to ensure proper seating arrangements, toilet facilities and availability of drinking water for students. Later, the Collector and Urban SP discussed about the security arrangements for the Chief Minister’s one-day visit to Tirupati on August 4. 

The Collector informed the media the Chief Minister would inaugurate the newly constructed houses for beneficiaries at Daminedu and would open newly constructed TDP office building here prior to attend the ‘Gnana Bhumi’ programme. Ahead of Naidu’s visit, the police officials tightened the security by deploying Armed Reserve personnel at Tarakarama Stadium, Daminedu Housing Complex area and new TDP office building.
