Meet on employability skills held at Maris Stella College Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Awareness among students on skill development, time management and career building are important for the preparation of competitive exams, said Pay and Accounts officer, Government of Andhra Pradesh BL Hanumantha Rao.

He was the chief guest at a programme on 'Youth Empowerment and Employability Skills’ organised by Maris Stella College for the students pursuing degree on the college premises on Thursday.

Hanumantha Rao, the author of the book titled ‘How to crack Civil Services @ 21’, said that the youth were caught in the vicious circle of negative thinking. 

The constant threat of insecurity was making them as unproductive human resource. They lacked proper direction to face the challenges of 21st century, which compelled them to perform or else perish in the present cutthroat competitive world.

Rao stressed the need to focus on women employment as an effective tool for sustainable development of society.

Sr Rekha, former principal inaugurated the programme. Vice-principal Dr Sr Innyasamma, Dr Little Flower, HoD, Physics, Srinivasa Rao, director, Guru Academy and others were present.
