More villages to be declared ODF: MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary

Rajamahendravaram: The Rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary has said that, the government is giving priority to declare more villages as ODF areas in the state and is putting forth its efforts in this regard.

Flagging off the Grameena Swachhata Radhams as part of the Swachha Sarvekshan programme at the rural mandal development office here, on Thursday. 

He said, the government was sanctioning individual lavatories to every family in the state and appealed to the people to come forward for the construction of individual lavatories. 

Everyone should extend their cooperation to the government to announce many villages under the ODF scheme.

The Grameena Swacchata Radhams will go to every nook and corner of the constituency and bring awareness on ODF through the speeches and also through kala jatas. 

Public address system and stage arranged in the special vehicle, he said.

Steps will be taken to declare the rural Assembly constituency under ODF, shortly and asked the people to extend their cooperation in this regard. Individual toilets will be sanctioned within no time, he added.

The Mandal development officer MV Ramana Reddy, the assistant engineer Suryanarayana, TDP leader Marni Vasudeva Rao and others were present.
