Sri Venkateswara University overall champ of Gnana Bhumi tourney

Tirupati: Officials of the Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) have organised one-day tournament in kabaddi and volleyball for students of the various AP universities at SVVU grounds here on Thursday, ahead of the ‘Gnana Bhumi’ programme on the instructions of District Collector PS Pradyumna.

Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) has emerged as overall champion of the ‘Gnana Bhumi’ tournament. Eight teams (men and women) from SVU, SVVU, SVIMS, SPMVV, ANGRAU and Dravidian University took part in the tournament. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would present the certificates and mementos for the players of the SVU teams at Tarakarama Stadium in Tirupati on August 4.
