MLA’s prolonged discussion irks minister
Srikakulam: There should be a limit on discussion on each subject, opined In-charge Minister Pitani Satyannarayana. He conducted the district-level review meeting with the officials and public representatives here on Friday on the development of the district.
On the occasion, TDP MLA K Ravi Kumar stared a discussion on agriculture department regarding soil health cards, seeds distribution to farmers and violation of reservation rules in recruitments in agriculture department.
Even after explanation by agriculture joint director G Rama Rao, Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy, Minister for Transport K Atchannaidu and In-charge Minister P Satyannarayana, the MLA continued his discussion over the department and he levelled serious allegations against the officials.
Then the in-charge minister responded strongly and suggested to the MLA not to prolong the discussion on one subject and there should be a limit for discussion and stopped the discussion on the subject and took up progress on irrigation projects.
Palakonda YSRCP MLA V Kalavathi and Pathapatnam TDP MLA K Venkata Ramana asked the officials for the construction of culverts on flood flow and other canals under Vamsadhara project.
