All registered documents to be digitalised
Srikakulam: All registered documents at joint registrarand sub-registrar offices (JRO and SRO) of stamps and registrations department across the AP state will be digitalised soon. The stategovernment has entered into an agreement with a Hyderabad-based companyFirst American India Private Limited in this regard. Documents registered from 1865 to till 2018 at allregistration offices will be digitalised. After scanningof all documents,they will be uploaded in online.
“The First American India PrivateLimited performed digitalisation process on pilot basis at GannavaramSRO in Krishna district at free of cost,” Vijayawada East registrar, GBalaKrishna told The Hans India. Gannavaram SRO is comes under purview of Vijayawada East registrar. After observing the quality ofwork, the state government entered into agreement with the company tocomplete digitalisation process at all registration offices across thestate.With the digitalization, preservation of registered documents will be easy and parties to the documents can access them easily whenever required. Old documents at registration officesare in damaged position and its preservation will be easy with digitalisation.
“There are 285 JRO and SRO offices inthe state and digitalisation process will lead to transparency in the system and useful to public also,” stamps and registrations departmentemployees union state president, KRama Rao said. “Digitalisation of registered documents is a good step and preservation of records would be easy,” joint registrars of Srikakulam headquarters office PV Ramapathi Rao and KThaviti Naidutold this newspaper.
