Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu striving for welfare of Muslim minorities: MLC Bachula Arjunudu

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is committed to uplift Muslim minorities in the state and is also allocating special funds to develop Urdu language, MLC Bachula Arjunudu said here on Saturday.

Arjunudu launched the poster relating to Nara Hamara--TDP Hamara event which would be conducted in Guntur on August 28 by the AP Muslim Minority cell to extend their support to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu as he has resolved all issues of Muslims minorities in AP.  Addressing newsmen here, he said that TDP-led State government had allocated Rs 1,102 crore in the 2018-2019 budget for the welfare of Muslim minorities and the funds will be utilised for construction and repairs of Masjids, Shadikhanas and development of Eidgah lands. The Chief Minister also assured Muslim minorities that the State government would release special Urdu DSC notification, he said.

The State government has built 223 Shadikhanas in all districts and nearly 28,500 Muslim brides got benefited under Chandranna Pelli Kanuka, about 4,237 Masjid Imams are getting Rs 5,000 per month from the State government and Masjids Moujans are also getting Rs 3,000 honorarium from the government  every month, the MLC recalled. Arjunudu said that state government is trying to protect the 65,000 acres of 3,502 Wakf organisations in the State and would complete the construction of Haj House in Kadapa and in Vijayawada.  

The State government has been offering free coaching to the Muslim students at 36 study centers in AP under Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University and also improved the Infrastructure in 467 Urdu schools, he added. He alleged that Congress party and YSRCP leaders have treated Muslim minorities as vote bank but the TDP government was committed for the welfare of Muslims.  

Krishna district Minority cell president MH Rehman said that 13 district Muslim minority people would participate in the Nara Hamara-TDP Hamara programme in Guntur to support TDP-led AP government because Muslim minority people are very happy under the rule of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Rehman said that the TDP government has been successfully controlling the law and order situation in the state and is maintaining communal harmony.
