Expo on safe anesthesia at AMCOSA complex

Visakhapatnam: The first of its kind in the country,  the Visakhapatnam Society of Anesthesiologists and Department of Anesthesiology, Andhra Medical College is conducting a Scientific Exhibition on safe anesthesia at AMCOSA complex in the city from August 7 to 9 from 12 noon to 8 pm.

The aim of the exhibition is to enlighten the common people about the safe anesthesia practices and the role of the anesthesiologists in various aspects of medical aid.

According to ISA Visakhapatnam Branch secretary Dr VV Ramesh, the exhibition includes pre-anesthetic evaluation and display of human organs.  During the exhibition, the experts would educate the common people about the first aid measures to be taken in cases of accidental poly trauma, fits in drowning and heart attacks.

The entry is free to all and it is a good opportunity to the school and college students. In the exhibition, the organisers are setting up artificial ICU and treatment procedure and how the human body responds to the medical aid will be explained, Dr Ramesh said.
