Latest procedures help cure diabetes
Vijayawada: There is a drastic growth in medical field and with the advanced and latest procedures; the patients suffering from diabetes can be treated, said diabetes specialist Dr N Srinivas from America.
He was chief guest at the 3rd Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) conference organised by the Andhra Pradesh Chapter on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Srinivas said timely healthy diet, regular exercise and sufficient rest would keep away diabetes. In the present mechanical life, it was very difficult to follow these tips leading to diabetes at young age.
Dr Srinivas said if diabetic patients were not treated properly, it would affect other parts of the body which would be fatal.
He said with the latest advanced procedures available, diabetes can be controlled without damaging other body parts like kidney and heart apart from controlling BP, memory loss, indigestion and other problems.
Organising committee chairman Y Sadasiva Rao said these kind of conferences would create awareness on the new and latest procedures in the field of medicine to the younger generations.
He recalled that earlier there was a myth that if someone suffers diabetes, they would die.
But now, with the international latest advanced treatments and procedures available, it can be controlled, he added.
