AMC to develop link roads in Guntur district
Guntur: Guntur Mirchi Yard chairman Mannva Subba Rao has said the Agriculture Market Committee will develop link roads in the rural areas for the convenience of the farmers to bring their agriculture produce to the mirchi yard.
He visited link roads laid in Vatticherukuru mandal on Monday. He said that the development of link roads will reduce transport cost to the farmers. He said that so far Rs 20.35 crore was spent for laying roads. He had allotted Rs 12 crore for Prattipatdu mandal and added that they have taken steps to spend funds properly.
He further said that proposal to lay roads at a cost of Rs 20 crore were ready. The link roads will be completed with the agriculture marketing committee funds. He informed that Chief Minister N Chandrabbau Naidu had allotted 20 percent of the funds for laying roads in the rural areas. He said that link roads works would be done with the MNREGS. Guntur Mirchi Yard directors Venkateswarulu and Poornachandra Rao were also present.
