Stone-laying for IIIT near Kanigiri by AP CM historical moment: Siddha Raghavarao

Kanigiri: Minister Siddha Raghavarao has announced that the establishment of IIIT near Kanigiri is a historical moment. As the chief minister is scheduled to lay foundation for the APJ Abdul Kalam IIIT at Dubagunta village in Pamur mandal on Tuesday, the minister inspected the arrangements for programme along with the district Collector Vadarevu Vinay Chand and Kanigiri MLA Kadiri Baburao on Monday.

Raghavarao said that the chief minister wants to develop the state as the education hub in future and allocated Rs 24000 crores in the recent budget. He said that there will be 6000 students in the IIIT to be established in Dubagunta and it will be a historical moment for the development of the western area of the district. 

He assured that the mining university and horticulture colleges will also be established in the district and the Veligonda first phase will be completed to give drinking water before elections. He said that the chief minister announced to lay foundation to the Ramayapatnam port also very soon.

The Collector Vinay Chand, MLA Baburao, Kanigiri AMC chairman Chandrasekhar Rao, Kandukur RDO A Mallikharjuna and other officials also participated in the tour of the minister.
